Device Setup & Configuration Guide

This guide walks you through the correct procedure for setting up your Mini-PC Service Workstation for the first time. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper installation, reliable performance, and secure operation.

Step 1: Unpack Your Equipment

  • Carefully remove the Mini-PC Service Workstation and all supplied accessories from the packaging.

  • Verify that the following items are included:

    • Mini-PC Service Workstation

    • Power adapter and cable

    • Keyboard and mouse

    • Documentation and quick start guide

  • Inspect the device for any visible damage. If anything appears missing or defective, contact FilesAir Customer Support before proceeding.



Step 2: Connect Power and Peripherals

  • Place the Mini-PC on a flat, stable surface with proper ventilation.

  • Connect the power cable to the device and plug it into a power outlet.

  • Attach any required peripherals such as:

    • Keyboard and mouse

    • Display (via HDMI or DisplayPort)

    • Network cable (if using wired LAN)

Press the power button to start the system.



Step 3: Connect to Your Network

  • If using wired LAN, ensure the Ethernet cable is connected to the LAN port.

  • If using Wi-Fi, select your network from the list and enter the password.

  • Test the connection to confirm internet access before continuing.



Step 4: Complete the Initial Setup Wizard

When the device powers on for the first time, you will be guided through the setup wizard:

  1. Connect to your wired or wireless network.

  2. Sign in with your @filesair.com account credentials (required), you find it in your company mailbox.

  3. Accept the license agreements and confirm basic settings.



Step 5: Install Updates & Configure Settings

  • Automatic operating system and application updates powered by FilesAir Team.

  • Semi-automatic updates to ensure security, compatibility, and performance of Sidekick application.

  • Configure additional settings such as:

    • Display resolution and scaling

    • Power management preferences

    • Security features (passwords, Windows Hello, or Microsoft Authenticator)



Your Mini-PC Service Workstation is now ready for use.
